Weekend in Pictures: Mother's Day

I had another wonderful Mother's Day thanks to my fabulous boys and family. Saturday was the Victim Center Mother Daughter brunch I help organize as a Board Member. My mother, sister, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and John's Aunt and cousin all attended. We had a wonderful time and it was great to have them there supporting me and the Victim Center.

After the brunch, John's family came to our house for a BBQ to celebrate Mother's Day and Derrick's birthday.

Sunday my boys surprised me with a hand-painted card and new Toms. We enjoyed our usual tradition of breakfast at Gailey's and then played at the park. That night we celebrated with a BBQ at my parent's house.

Weekend in Pictures // Mother's Day

My third Mother's Day and what made it the best yet... Sawyer woke me saying "Happy Mother's Day Mommy". I could have cried. We had a busy weekend of Swim Lessons, Silver Dollar City, baseball & playing at the park, and a relaxing BBQ. I never could have guessed I would not only have gotten to celebrate with my mom but that I'd be living with her! Honestly, it's been so fun. I feel very blessed that we have such a close relationship and that Sawyer gets so much quality time with her. Happy Mother's Day mom! Glad you aren't sick of me....yet!
Sawyer came home sick Thursday and Friday so I got extra snuggles.

Made me an adorable necklace with his thumbprint...if only he'd let me wear it

Started the weekend with his first swim lesson

Loved it!

Mother's Day 2013

Mother's Day Weekend couldn't have been more beautiful. Great weather, wonderful company and fantastic food. This was my 2nd (well sort of 3rd if you count in utero) Mother's Day and they just keep getting better. The weekend started with yellow roses and adorable hand-made (literally) artwork from my little man. We spent that saturday playing at the park with my mom, he really enjoyed feeding the ducks. Sunday we had our usual breakfast at Gailey's and later that afternoon met my family for lunch at Vintage Veranda Tea Room where my sister Rachel works. If you haven't been there, I recommend checking it out, especially for their beautiful patio and amazing desserts. After lunch, we took Sawyer to the park to enjoy the nice day. John surprised me with not 1, not 2 but 3 - 1 hour long massage gift certificates, talk about relaxation!!! I am very blessed and I want to thank my amazing husband and son Sawyer for showing me so much love! Also, my beautiful Mother and Mother-in-law. I couldn't celebrate this holiday without them!

My first Mother's Day

Today was so special, it was my first Mother's Day. The day started off with my boys surprising me with breakfast and flowers and then we headed to Branson. We met up with John's parents, sister and brother-in-law and my parents and sisters. We had lunch at Famous Dave's, walked around the Landing and then the outlet mall. My mom got me a locket with Sawyer's name on it with his picture on the inside and a collage frame for my desk. It was such a perfect day. Thanks Mom for making me the mother I am today and thanks to my Mother-in-law for raising an amazing man who is not only my best friend and husband but an amazing father!
Such a bittersweet close to the weekend, while I celebrated mom's day I also prepare to head back to work tomorrow, starting a whole new chapter for our family.
