Mizzou Trips

We love everything Mizzou! So, when we got the chance to head to Columbia for two basketball games, two weekends in a row...we were pumped!

First weekend, we brought the Tarwater's for our annual #hamwater Mizzou trip, this year sans the kiddos. They are getting ready to move to Texas in a few weeks and we wanted to make sure we keep the tradition alive.

The second weekend, we brought the Waddell's for the Arkansas game. Nicole is a fellow Mizzou alum and she was able to bring her adorable son Beckett for his first Tiger basketball game.

Both weekends we were sure to check out Shakespeare's pizza, a Columbia must!

First trip to Silve Dollar City

Sawyer got to take his first trip to Silver Dollar City yesterday for his Aunt Rachel's birthday. We didn't get a lot of pictures just because we were so busy. The new Outlaw Run wooden roller coaster is amazing, highly recommend. At 16 stories, they say it is the 2nd fastest wooden coaster in the United States! Sawyer got to ride the train and the Great American Shootout but he was still a little small for most of the kids rides. He had his first funnel cake and Grandma even got him a train whistle and pop gun. It was a great day!!

Wild Fire. You can't really tell but John & Rachel are in the back row
He loved riding on dad's shoulders
Powder Keg. John is so thrilled

Mizzou Homecoming 2012

This trip to Columbia marked John and I's 11th Mizzou Homecoming and our 1st SEC game. We had originally planned to bring Sawyer but when the forecast said high of 43 with an 11:00 AM game, we decide next year might have to be his first trip.
Thanks to my wonderful parents for watching him!
We made it into town Friday night to meet the Milbach's for drinks at Trey and late night snacks at Addison's with some of our other college friends (The Duncan's, Ahren's, Weston's and McMillen's). The Milbach's were kind enough to let us stay at their lovely home (it is impossible to get a hotel room on Homecoming weekend). Saturday, we started tailgating around 9:00 am and it was cold! Luckily we got to watch the game from the Tiger Lounge which is enclosed & heated. After the Tiger's win, we headed to the Weston's for food and a quick dance party and then decided to hit the town for some Willy's & Field House. Of course we had to end the night with a trip to El Rancho.  Ad you can see from the pictures, the them of the weekend was lots of dancing and chest bumps,

Incubus Take 6

John and I enjoyed our 6th Incubus concert last night and our first time seeing them in Springfield.

Thanks to our amazing friend Michael (or Bob to us) we got to enjoy the show from a suite at the O'Reilly Family Center. We had such a great time and as per usual Incubus did not disapppoint. Thanks to my wonderful parents for watching Sawyer and to Bob for bringing our favorite band to Springfield!

Fun Crew!
