That time I won JT tickets on the radio

"Remember that time I won tickets on the radio?"  Ya, still in shock on that one but it is a story I will never forget. I have heard of people winning stuff like this but never thought I would. It was as simple as me texting in a word to 92.9 the Beat, qualifying, and then out of 36 qualifiers...them picking my name for an trip to Los Angeles, Ca to see Justin Timberlake at the Forum.I will sum up our trip in two words AH-MAZING, okay maybe that is one word with added emphasis.

It was a brief getaway for John and I but both of our first times in California...so we wanted to explore. We rented a car and visited Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive, Santa Monica and a bunch of other small cities and sites. We did a bunch of Christmas shopping and sampled some yummy food. I am a nerd and a huge fan of Real House Wives of Beverly Hills so when we stumbled across Lisa Vanderpump's new club "PUMP" I frantically took pictures from our window. I tried to convince John to take me to eat at SUR but I didn't win.

We even got to meet up for dinner in Santa Monica with our high school friend Jimmy who has lived out in California since college (I failed to take a picture of us). We met at The Misfits at Santa Monica Promenade.

The concert was awesome, just like I had heard. He performed for three hours and sounds exactly the same in person as he does recorded. I wasn't able to take the best pictures but I did get some videos (at end of post).

Thank you to 92.9 the Beat for this incredible experience. Here are our pictures and videos from our trip....

Cousin Fun!

Riding on Batman!

Last Saturday, my sister-in-law, Cindy, and me planned a day together with four little guys.
We shopped at Target & Sam's, visted Wickman Garden's Holiday Festival, had lunch at Wendy's to see Daddy, played and napped at our house, and finished the day with dinner at Springfield Gourmet Taco. While Sawyer had a breakdown at Sam's Club, the majority of the day was a blast. The boys always have so much fun and I just love seeing them grow up together.

Getting ready to meet them and Sawyer had to get ready like mommy!

Halloween 2014

About two months ago, Sawyer started telling everyone he was going to be Fix It Felix from Wreck It Ralph for Halloween. I was hoping he might change his mind closer since that is one kid's costume they don't make. But he was adamant so I went on the hunt for all the pieces...hat, uniform shirt, construction boots, tool belt, gold hammer, and work gloves. I found the majority of the items doing an Amazon search except his boots are from target and found custom Felix patches for his hat and shirt on Etsy. He loves his costume and they are all items he'll wear again. He got to celebrate Halloween three times with trunk or treat at our church Sunday, Spootacular at the zoo Thursday, and trick or treating at the Johnson's  Friday.  He is very pleased with his candy stash too.
