Finally a free weekend

Our summer has been jammed packed and it was nice to have a weekend that didn't involve traveling. We went to Mel & Sam's BBQ and then to the Cards game for a nice relaxing evening. It was perfect!

Another item off the list

Last night my bridesmaids, mother and I checked another item off the wedding to do list.
We found bridemaid's dresses!! I will remain closed lipped on which one but I will say it is beautiful on all 4 girls and is made by Bari Jay. We found the winner at McDaniel's Bridal.

Next up is shoes, suits for the boys and photographer. I love marking items of the list, what a relief!

Monday is the Menu meeting for our reception, can't wait to see what sort of grub we can come up with.

Ceremony Locale

We finally came to a decision and we will be getting married Jan. 22, 2011 at Redeemer Lutheran Church here in Springfield. This is the church I was confirmed and where my youngest sister attended grade school. Hopefully (fingers crossed) we will be married by Pastor Sippy, we just love him! More details to come.

Let's Celebrate!

We want to thank everyone for coming out Saturday for our Engagement Shower. We sure do feel like we have the best family & friends a couple could ask for. We have already used some of our amazing gifts - John trimmed the hedges, I baked a new casserole with our pyrex. With our new knives cut up some chicken and measured it with our kitchen scale. Oh and the pillows are amazing!!!
