Lost & Found Game Day 2014

I am so honored to be a part of Lost & Found Grief Center's Young Ambassador Board. For our third year, the board has hosted Game Day, a Mizzou Football tailgate party at Springfield Brewing Company, to help raise funds for the organization. This year was another successful party raising above our goal and last year's total, bringing in more than $22,000. We added two new items, Bingo (aka TIGER) at halftime and a photo booth with props, they both were a huge hit!
Thank you to everyone that sponsored, donated, and attending. We definitely couldn't do it without you! Stay tuned for details on Game Day 2015!!!

Lost & Found's 2nd Annual Game Day

I am blown away daily at the generosity and big hearts that you can find in the Springfield community. Being a volunteer/supporter of Lost & Found Grief Center over the past 2 years has been such a blessing. I have gotten to volunteer and become friends with amazing philanthropists that care so much for the cause. As I posted last year, Game Day,  is an event that was created by the Lost & Found Young Ambassador Board (see post here: http://www.hamratime.com/2012/10/lost-founds-game-day.html).  I have been on this board since the creation, 2 years ago, and we have seen this event grow and become a signature fundraiser for the organization. We couldn't be happy with how it turned out and will start the planning for the 3rd Annual event in a few short months. The event was held at Springfield Brewing Company again as a watch party for Mizzou who played (and beat) Vanderbilt. John was a crazy raffle salesman again and with his other sellers managed to SELL OUT of raffle tickets. Once again, Trina and I built a mean balloon arch...I think we may be pros now.
Thanks for everyone who came out to help us raise money for Lost & Found (totals still coming in), we appreciate it so much!! See you next year!

Lost & Found's GAME DAY

I've had the privilege of being on the Young Ambassador's Board for Lost & Found. Lost & Found is an amazing organization that provides grief support services (free of charge) for children, young adults and their families who are grieving the death of a loved one. Our Board decided to come up with an event that was fun and not like anything else offered in Springfield as a fundraiser. I think we accomplished that with our 1st Annual GAME DAY! It was a tailgating/watch party for the Mizzou vs. Alabama Game at Springfield Brewing Company. I was the chair of the Marketing Committee and had the honor of designing their marketing materials. I am very proud of how everything turned out. Especially the little Balloon Arch Trina, Conor and I built (yes we built it! straight from a youtube video).
The event was a huge success, exceeding our fundraising goal and receiving amazing support from local businesses and the community. We will definitely be having a second annual event next year and I am looking forward to being a part of it again. Thanks to everyone who came out to help Lost & Found!!!
