Weekend in Pictures: Golf, Doula's, and Mary Poppins

I am terrible at saying no...my close friends and family probably know that about me. It isn't always a bad thing and most times leads to very busy (and fun) weekends. Here is another instance of Kari commits to everything but has a fabulous time...
Friday
Dinner with John's family to celebrate my birthday and his Aunt Jackie who was visiting from DC to receiving an award from Greenwood as Outstanding Young Alumni Award the following day.

Saturday

Morning/Afternoon: Photographed the O'Reilly Charity Classic. It was a very long day (13 hours) but was super fun in the company of Cheryl Maddox!

Night: Doula Foundation Night of Caring fundraiser at Farmer's Park Pavilion with the Johnson's. (Hey we actually won a silent auction item for 417 Petsitting to watch our dogs while we are in Florida, ya!)
Sunday
Mary Poppins at Springfield Little Theater, Sawyer's first play and he LOVED it! Even sat still for the full 2.5 hours. And of course it wouldn't be Sunday with out a little football in the yard.

now that's a big chairs!

Birthday celebrations

While getting older is never something I've looked forward to, celebrating my birthday with my amazing family and friends makes it worth it. Saturday my friends came out to Barley, Wheat, and Rye. It was a beautiful night, sunset was gorgeous! Tuesday my parents, sister Rachel, Sawyer, and I enjoyed a picnic at the park, soccer, and ice cream. Then on my actually birthday, Wednesday, my sister Amie and her boyfriend Brian joined my parents, Sawyer, John, and me at Nakato. So, what was the best part of my whole birthday, you ask? Sawyer singing me happy birthday...melts my heart!

My sweet boys!

Labor Day & Sawyer's First St. Louis Cardinals Game

For the long weekend, we traveled to St. Louis for family, friend, cardinals time! John, Sawyer, Trina, my parents and I drove up Saturday with first, a visit to the Magic House. If you haven't been there, it is a children's museum with hands-on learning exhibits. After. Few hours there, we headed to my Uncle Scott and Aunt Julie's house for their annual summer pool party. My college Roomie Lindsey and her husband Chris even got to come by. After all the partygoers left, my family and me played an intense and late game of Cards Against Humanity (highly recommended for mature audiences!). Sunday we left early to Ball Park Village for lunch before the game. It was a scorcher, but luckily we had an umbrella and my mom purchased a spray fan to keep Sawyer cool. For Sawyer's first game, he got to see an awesome game! The cardinals came back from a 5-run Cubs lead to win 9 to 6!! Can't wait to take him again!
