White Water

Sawyer and me took an impromptu afternoon trip to White Water last Thursday...his first time. It was definitely a good idea because we got help Trina celebrate her birthday a day early and Sawyer said on our way home it was his favorite day! Thanks Trina for inviting us to spend the day with you, we had a blast!!

Birthday kisses!

One more time!

Home Updates // Round II

As I sit in my new living room composing this blog, as cheesy as it may sound, I look around and feel beyond blessed. This home is something we have wanted since the day John and I started our life together. It is a place we can grow our family and make many life long memories (already some great ones in the books). Making this house our home as been very organic, picking items that make us happy and comfy, functional but ultimately reflecting our personalities and things we love. I am so pleased with everything we have been able to add and are about 90% done. I still would like to make some updates to the upstairs but that will come with time. We have one empty room downstairs we are deciding what we would like to do with! More updates to come.
Here are some pictures of our recent updates.
Welcome!

Lovely new patio set from John's parents as a housewarming
Custom sliding barn door from The Plaid Mill
Love it!!!
I've always wanted a spot in my room for me and my girlfriends to be able sit,
have a glass of wine, and chat while getting ready for a night out.

Big Rig Night!!

Sawyer's ultimate favorite book (currently) is "Cars and Trucks and Things that Go" by Richard Scarry. He received the book from his buddy Jackson for his birthday in February and since then we have read it every night before bed. When his School posted a flyer about Big Rig Night  put on by Community Partnership of the Ozarks & Parents as Teachers, I knew we had to go. It was like his favorite book come to life. Such a great idea!!

Mater!!

Foreshadowing? Glad he's in the front seat!

Weekend in Pictures // Fourth of July

We had a very eventful + fun filled Fourth of July...
Friday - pool day at Grandma & Grandpa's
Saturday - Rutledge Wilson Farm with Grandma, we fished, played on the playground and of course saw lots of animals. That night we were invited by our new neighbor friends to bbq and watch fireworks in the cul-de-sac, it was a great time!
Sunday - Silver Dollar City with Uncle Rob, Aunt Cindy and Kaiden. Sawyer went to his first Magic Show and could not stop saying "Magical powers!"

Here are the pictures...
