Sawyer's Nursery

One of the best parts of being pregnant was planning and creating a space for Sawyer to come home to. We wanted a room he could grow in to, less baby and more young gentleman. I know, I know...we don't want him to grow up too fast but we always visualized our Hamlet as a little man with fine taste. We couldn't let him down. We opted for dark wood, rich colors and sophisticate patterns. In the end I think he approves.
Here is the transformation and how it all turned out. Make sure to check it out on Project Nursery (we could win some $$ if you rate it):

The room before was very bland! Off-white walls and dingy brown wood
My dad installed a new fan for us
As you may recall we painted the walls with a Lattice technique, enlisting the help of our friends Megan & Tim.
Here is the how we did it:

I created a DIY mobil to hang above his crib,
Here's how I did it:

Mr. Hamra
yellow thrift store chair
framed shower invitation

  1. Love the addition of his name over the door! Very sweet little room indeed :)

    1. Thanks Megan. You played a huge role in it too. We appreciate the help!!
