DIY: Baby Wipes

Almost a year ago at my work baby shower, one of my co-workers was kind enough to give me the ingredients to make my own baby wipes. Him and his wife swear by them. I am a little embarrassed that it took me 8.5 months to get to making them! It was mostly because we were given so many wipes as presents that I thought I would use them first. We are finally out of wipes so I thought it would be a good time to try it.  It is so simple and made a lot!

What you need:

- High Quality Paper Towels (like Bounty, do not get the select-a-size unless you like small wipes)
- Apricot Oil
- Dr. Bronners Unscented Baby Mild Soap
- Container with lid to hold wipes

How you do it:

1. Cut paper towel roll in half (you will only need one half, save the other for next time)
2. Place half roll inside your container
3. Mix 1.5 Tablespoons of each, Apricot Oil & Dr. Bronners Unscented Baby Mild Soap

4. Combine with warm water to total 2 cups and stir

mixture of oil, soap and water
5. Pour over paper towel inside container

mixture poured over towels

you can see the mixture seeping through the towels

6. Wait a few minutes and pull cardboard tube out, put a lid on your container and you have yourself some baby wipes!
take out cardboard center
Thanks Dave & Kim for the kit & recommendation, wish we would have done it sooner!
