Millsap Farms Pizza Club

I have been wanting to check out Millsap Farms Pizza Club for months now just haven't had a chance (imagine that). We got the crew together (Trina, Johnson's, Brooker's) and went last night and we LOVE it! Definitely something we will be doing as much as possible.  We found it more affordable than going out to dinner (endless pizza, yes please!) plus the kiddos can run around and play. Sawyer came home dirty and sweaty, a true sign of a great night.

Pizza Club is basically a big buffet style get together on the farm with music and fresh pizza. They make them in large earthen ovens from fresh ingredients they harvest each week. They offer seasonal fresh organically raised produce and create different kinds of pizzas that also feature other local meats, cheeses, sauces and vegetables.

Last night's music was from Alexa Kilgore, she was great!

If you haven't heard about it, check out their site: https://millsapfarms.wordpress.com/pizza-a-place-to-party/

On the Menu Last Night:
The Roasted Pig: Homemade roasted caramelized onion sauce, roasted pork belly mozzarella, thyme, olive oil, Taleggio cheese and topped with lemon dressed arugula
The Classic Cheese: Homemade red sauce all topped up with mozzarella cheese
An Armenian Pie: Homemade Baba Ganoush, mozzarella, olives, tomatoes, and Terrell Creek Feta
Almost Dessert: Cream cheese, Missouri Peaches and Basil, Almonds and Date Lady Syrup

White Water

Sawyer and me took an impromptu afternoon trip to White Water last Thursday...his first time. It was definitely a good idea because we got help Trina celebrate her birthday a day early and Sawyer said on our way home it was his favorite day! Thanks Trina for inviting us to spend the day with you, we had a blast!!

Birthday kisses!

One more time!

Sprinkler!!!

Sawyer's grandparents Donnetta & Derrick did good! The new sprinkler they surprised Sawyer with was a huge hit! I have very fond childhood memories playing in the sprinkler with my sister in the summers so it was endearing to see Sawyer love it too! He was not a happy camper when we had to go in!! Thanks Grandma & Campaw!!

Weekend in Pictures: Memorial Day 2013

Memorial Day to me is like the kick-off to summer mixed with a send off to spring. It reminds me of all the things I love about this time of year...the pool, bbqs, finally letting my legs feel the sun, sitting out in the grass in a lawn chair even if it means mosquito bites and having the sun out until well after 8:00 pm.
This was Sawyer's second Memorial Day and we had a busy one (are you surprised?). Sawyer's vocabulary exploded with new words like "helicopter", "caterpillar", "umbrella" and "firetruck". We had nothing less than a jam packed weekend of activities, here are the pictures...
