Ooh I like that: Imagination Library

While at Cider Days last weekend, my mother and I came across a booth for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. Presenting by the United Way of the Ozarks and some other amazing community partners, the programs mails books to preschool children. And not just 1 or 2 books but 1 book every month until the child turns 5!! That's 12 books a year. It is completely free to join but right now it is limited to a few zip codes in town (65802, 65803, 65806 and 65807). Unfortunately, we are not in one of those zip codes but they did inform us that it will be moving into other zip codes soon and we were put on the list. The books arrive addressed to the child so they have something to look forward to each month! It is such a wonderful way to promote reading and spark their imagination through stories. All you have to do is go to the website, print and fill out the form and mail it in to get your child on the list. Make sure to share with all your friends with kids, there is really no reason not to do it! Print extras out for your friends, they will thank you!!

  1. Such a great program! And it's a book per child not per family so each child gets a book per month no matter how many kids you have.
