Holiday Festivities!

Last weekend was filled with fun festive celebrations for the holidays. Friday was my work Christmas Party at my boss Julie's house. Taking a group picture proved to be hilarious! Saturday morning was Breakfast with Santa which I help organize at the boys' school. Scout loved Santa!! Saturday afternoon was the Christmas parade in downtown Springfield. Sawyer loved it this year, he waved at every car that drove by and made sure to say "Merry Christmas" every time. He came home with quite the candy collection. Sunday we had our Annual Bestie Ornament painting at Firehouse pottery with Trina and Megan. John brought Scout by for a quick footprint ornament and Sawyer stayed with me to paint a few for the tree. Next year will be interesting with Scout and Baby Johnson #2 joining the group.

The Great Santa Meeting

Sawyer has never been too fond of Santa....until NOW!
His first year he was very nervous but I was still able to get a picture after he squirmed around and whined a bit, last year was a whole other story. He hated it! I even tried twice!
But this year....he spent a good 2-3 minutes telling Santa all about the Thomas train set he wants and how he has been a good boy "sometimes", well I'll take it!

Sawyer's 2nd Thanksgiving + Meeting with Santa

I am so behind on posts so I thought I would do a joint blog on Thanksgiving and our recent trip to meet Santa. Thanksgiving was excellent, got to spend it with my family and some of John's family (unfortunately not all) but I can't say the same for meeting Santa. We had a wonderful time getting to spend the day with John's mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law and our new nephew Kadien but Sawyer was NOT a fan of Mr. Claus. We did get a pretty cute photo that will be perfect to show his future girlfriends!
