Lost & Found Game Day 2014

I am so honored to be a part of Lost & Found Grief Center's Young Ambassador Board. For our third year, the board has hosted Game Day, a Mizzou Football tailgate party at Springfield Brewing Company, to help raise funds for the organization. This year was another successful party raising above our goal and last year's total, bringing in more than $22,000. We added two new items, Bingo (aka TIGER) at halftime and a photo booth with props, they both were a huge hit!
Thank you to everyone that sponsored, donated, and attending. We definitely couldn't do it without you! Stay tuned for details on Game Day 2015!!!

Lost & Found's 2nd Annual Game Day

I am blown away daily at the generosity and big hearts that you can find in the Springfield community. Being a volunteer/supporter of Lost & Found Grief Center over the past 2 years has been such a blessing. I have gotten to volunteer and become friends with amazing philanthropists that care so much for the cause. As I posted last year, Game Day,  is an event that was created by the Lost & Found Young Ambassador Board (see post here: http://www.hamratime.com/2012/10/lost-founds-game-day.html).  I have been on this board since the creation, 2 years ago, and we have seen this event grow and become a signature fundraiser for the organization. We couldn't be happy with how it turned out and will start the planning for the 3rd Annual event in a few short months. The event was held at Springfield Brewing Company again as a watch party for Mizzou who played (and beat) Vanderbilt. John was a crazy raffle salesman again and with his other sellers managed to SELL OUT of raffle tickets. Once again, Trina and I built a mean balloon arch...I think we may be pros now.
Thanks for everyone who came out to help us raise money for Lost & Found (totals still coming in), we appreciate it so much!! See you next year!

SHOP PINK: For Marilyn & Mel

Tomorrow marks three years since my Grandma Marilyn lost her fight with Cancer. It started off as Breast Cancer and eventually spread to Bone Cancer. I still think about her all the time and it is especially hard thinking about how much she would have loved Sawyer. I know she is looking down laughing at his cuteness! Even though I can't do much, I want to try to help in anyway I can to find a cure for this terrible disease and honor my wonderful Grandma. So to do my part, since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I will donate 10% of each item sold from my "Shop Pink" section on my Chloe and Isabel Online Boutique. My grandma would have worn any of these pieces, her favorite colors being pink & purple. I also am doing this for a wonderful friend Mel who fought breast cancer and WON! She is cancer-free and able to enjoy a wonderful life with her husband and sweet twins. I want to help other woman like Mel see more birthdays!!

Cattle Barron's Ball

Reaction to John saying "The Horse is eating my Hair!"

Our friends Reece & Krissy Tarwater were kind enough to invite us last Saturday to the Annual Cattle Baron's Ball to benefit the American Cancer Society at Darr Agricultural Center. This was a huge event! John and I, of course, do not own any "western" apparel but I was lucky ebough to borrow some boots form a coworker (thanks Nicole) and John got the hook up from Tim. It was such a fun night of eating, dancing, auction bidding and of course riding the mechanical bull! They raised a ton of money, Krissy even won her silent auction item for 1 year of unlimited Hot Yoga from Sumit's. I hope we get to go again next year because we had a blast. Thanks again Tarwater's for letting us be your date!
